Calio compared to other schedulers

Looking for a Calendly alternative, or weighing up a few tools? Below you will find Calio next to the best-known schedulers: which features you get, what it costs and, perhaps most importantly, where your clients’ data ends up.

We only list features Calio genuinely has today; anything still being built is labelled as such. Competitor prices come from public sources and always carry the date they were checked.

Frequently asked questions

How is Calio different from Calendly?

The biggest differences: Calio runs entirely in a data centre in Amsterdam, the free plan has unlimited event types (Calendly’s free plan stops at one) and guests can pay at booking time through Mollie, iDEAL included. To be fair the other way too: Calendly has SMS reminders and SSO, and Calio does not have those yet.

Are these comparisons really fair? They are on Calio’s own site.

A healthy thing to question. That is why we only list features Calio genuinely has today, why competitor prices always carry the date they were checked and a source, and why each comparison also says when the other tool is the better choice.

Which scheduler keeps data in the EU?

Calio hosts the application and the database in a data centre in Amsterdam, with every subprocessor named, country included, in the data processing agreement. With other providers, mind the difference between "servers in the EU" and an EU provider: data on the EU servers of a US company still falls under the CLOUD Act.

Can I try Calio alongside my current tool?

Yes. The free plan stays free, and because both tools write to the same calendar, double bookings cannot occur. So you can compare at your own pace before replacing your links.

Rather see for yourself?

Setting up a booking link takes a few minutes. The free plan stays free, so you can try Calio alongside your current tool without any rush.
